The
ticket sales for the “IBS World Tour” Paris
concert raised 650€.
This
money was sent
to help
combat the famine
in Ethiopia.
The
proceeds of the sales of the “Greatest Hits” CD
will be given to an association which is
attempting to reduce the suffering experienced by
animals in modern “factory” farms: calves, pigs,
ducks (foie gras), foxes in fur farms etc.
The
cheque will be given to the “Protection Mondiale
des Animaux de Ferme” which is the French branch
of “Compassion in World Farming”.
Their web sites will give you an idea of the work
these associations are doing:
http://www.pmaf.org/
(in French)
http://www.ciwf.org.uk/
(in English)
For an amusingly presented summary of some of the
problems, see also
http://www.themeatrix.com/
The
musicians and all concerned in the production of
the concert and CD hope you enjoy the music… and
that will come back for more next year !

PS
Ok, so “dh studios” is a joke but… dh really does
live at “la baronnerie”. |
