Types of Reactions : Metal oxides with dilute acids

Metals oxides will react with dilute acids to give a salt and water.


Reaction 1

metal oxide + acid salt + water


Reaction 2

The metal replaces the hydrogen. The two products are salt and water.

You will notice that the type of salt produced depends on the acid used. Can you identify the reactants and the products shown in the equations above?
