Chemical Properties

Solubility in water Slightly soluble in water. It reacts with water to form a weak acid.
Burning Will burn in air to form sulphur and water or sulphur dioxide gas and water
Moist pH paper Slight acidic reaction
Red rose petals No reaction
Specific test None (Its odour is specific enough!)
