Your teacher will help each group to take a sample of water from the pond which is situated close to the forest. You will be able to investigate this sample in the laboratory.

There are many kinds of organisms which live in or on pond water. Some of these are easy to see with the naked eye. The smallest organisms can only be seen under the microscope.
