These pages were contributed by David Hoult BSc, PiS (retired).
Mr Hoult supports a number of animal welfare groups, including:
Compassion in world farming Campaigns against “factory farming” and long distance animal transport.
Branches in UK, USA, France, Italy and many other countries.
L214 Multiple animal welfare campaigns (in France). The name L214 comes from the reference of a law which finally accepted that animals are sentient beings, capable of having feelings and hence capable of suffering.
Comité Radicalement Anti-Corrida Against the barbaric practice of bull “fighting” (or bull torturing to give it a more apt description).
Stop Gavage Against force feeding (gavage) of ducks and geese for foie gras.
Welfarm (formerly Protection Mondiale des Animaux de Ferme, PMAF) French organization having the same aims as CIWF: against “factory farming” and long distance animal transport.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Campaigns especially against the fur trade but also many other animal cruelty issues.
Please consider helping to improve the miserable existence of animals raised for meat, leather, fur etc and to finally put end to the barbaric practice of bull “fighting”.
Thank you.

Message to all Open Door Web Site users

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the Open Door Web Site and, sadly, its last year. We have tried very hard to keep the ODWS online but it has become too costly. We tried Google Ads to cover costs but stopped when it became apparent that we could not prevent inappropriate advertisements from appearing.

Thanks to those of you who have supported the ODWS in the past. Your contributions have been much appreciated.

Wishing you all a peaceful, happy and successful 2019
