Study the drawing below which shows the position of the muscles and bones in the human forearm. Answer the questions which follow the drawing.

(a) Identify the bones A to D  
(b) Identify the muscles M and N  
(c) Which of these muscles in contracted and which is relaxed?  
(d) What happens to the muscles when the arm is straightened?  
(e) (i) What type of joint is found at O?
(ii) How does this joint allow the bones to move?
 
(f) (i) On the drawing opposite add the two main muscles responsible for straightening the leg.
(ii) Label the contracted muscle C and the relaxed muscle R.
