Information: How to read the graph.

The different types of climate on Earth can be grouped together according to two characteristics: humidity and temperature.

Climates with low humidity are climates where there is little rain or snow. These are shown on the left of the graph while the climates with more precipitation (rain and snow) are shown on the right.

The climates with average annual temperatures are shown on top while those with low temperatures are shown on the bottom.

The x-axis (which is horizontal from left to right) shows the humidity from dry to wet. The y-axis (which is vertical) shows temperatures from cold to hot.
